Hello, meet James & Simon, co-founders of DXB Partners, a leading market entry and capital introduction firm that helps international funds and founders succeed in the Middle East.  

Sharing a thesis that the Middle East is fast becoming the most vibrant and successful economy on earth, James & Simon, both British, partnered to create DXBP in the UAE contributing over 40 years combined experience of raising capital for international fund managers and founders. The sons of entrepreneurs in the UK, with financial boutiques and big brands on their resumes they are, however, not your identikit bankers. Passionate & curious writers, readers, collectors, travellers and foodies help them relate to a diverse and exciting client roster. 

The roots of the business were first planted in 2011 when Simon arrived in Dubai. Noticing the exponential wealth creation and world class investor community, he also saw first-hand that many funds and founders were frustrated in their attempts to raise capital. What followed was a journey of pivots and trials to find the right ingredients that would provide the buy side with compelling opportunities from all over the world and the sell side with a cost effective playbook to succeed in the Middle East. Above all, the firm believes that it’s always stories, relationships & local presence before statistics that get results.   

Acting for funds & founders from Sydney to Stockholm to San Francisco, the firm delivers a full service tried and tested Middle Eastern market entry platform encompassing four core pillars; 

  • A digital marketplace called ‘Raiser’ that enables investors to meet and match with funds and founders 
  • The creation of the storyline content across audio, video and digital media
  • Access to an annual calendar of in-person network accelerators in the Middle East 
  • Year round representation ensuring that all opportunities are proactively pursued    

In addition to these services, for our long term contracted clients we handle the mission critical establishment of a local presence and identity.   

Of equal importance are the personal relationships the firm nurtures with investors throughout the 6 GCC member countries (Gulf Cooperation Council). This ensures that buy side and sell side can be matched efficiently and long-lasting engagement commenced.

With over 30 years of entrepreneurial and employed financial services experience, Simon is passionate about helping asset managers and entrepreneurs succeed in the Gulf. A fully qualified CISI & CFA professional with C Suite, private banking, asset management and investment banking experience, Simon has worked at a number of large organisations including SG Warburg and Bordier & Cie.

Having gained experience at companies such as Barclays, LGT and Abra, James has over 10 years of financial services experience. A fully qualified CISI & CFA professional with extensive relationship management, portfolio management and transaction appraisal skills, James is passionate about facilitating relationships between entrepreneurs, asset managers and investors across the world.
